FIFA World Cup 2026 kicks off on June 11th hosted by 3 joint countries Mexico, Canada and the USA.

England secured their place in October 2025 by defeating Latvia 5-0, aiming to surpass their quarter-final performance in 2022, where they were eliminated by France in a penalty shootout.
Following their recent achievement of reaching the finals in Euro 2024, England's men's football team is set to deliver unmissable entertainment once more in 2026. Hundreds of venues across the UK are eager to capitalize on the excitement, drawing large crowds to their venue including outdoor spaces.
Screening popular sporting events is an excellent strategy to boost footfall, turnover, and profits. Making use of outdoor spaces like pub gardens, car parks, football and rugby club pitches, as well as hotel gardens and golf clubs, is an ideal way to expand venue capacity and take advantage of these popular sporting events.
No matter the size of your venue or audience, whether it's a small local pub accommodating 50 people or a city centre fan zone drawing thousands, Ad:Vantage Digital offers a variety of high-quality screens perfect for your event.
Our Outdoor Screen Hire is available for single day hire (match days)
or for the full tournament period at competitive rates.

In the below artical you can find some useful tips and advice on LED screen hire for screening the FIFA 2026 World Cup tournament.

What to look out for?
Outdoor screens vary in quality and performance. Selecting the wrong screen hire could damage your venues reputation and finances if the screen is not visible in sunlight, has poor image quality, or is not installed safely.
Ensure you request to see photos of the actual screen and equipment you are hiring from your big screen supplier, ideally in a similar setting with direct sunlight on the screen if relevant.
Some older or lower quality outdoor screens may look ok when not in direct sunlight, but as soon as the pints start pouring and the sun comes out, the screen can be negatively impacted by direct sunlight with poor image quality such as low contrast and a greyed out image. This is the last thing you want with 100's of fans expected to watch a football game.

Be cautious of companies claiming full "HD" or "4k" LED screens, as in reality this is rarely the case with outdoor LED screens. Marketing such terms often reflects the companies lack or knowledge and understanding of the equipment and service being provided. Full HD and 4k is technically possible but uncommon for outdoor screens and not a crucial factor. For screens under 8m wide we recommend a pixel pitch of 3.9mm or better (2.7mm) to get the required resolution. For Screens over 8m wide a larger pixel pitch of 4.8mm or greater may also be suitable.
Things to consider?
Screen Size
What screen size will you need to suit the space and your expected audience size? We have a range of screens available to hire. Our most popular sizes are:
3.5m by 2m - Perfect for smaller venues and pub gardens with between 50 and 150 audience.
5m by 2.5m - Suitable for larger venues including car parks and pub gardens for audiences up to 500.
6m by 3.5m - For large spaces and fan zones. Up to 600 seated or 1000 standing.
7.5m by 4m - Fan zones and open spaces such as council run park events. 800 seated or 1300 standing
9m by 4.5m - Suitable for some of the largest events with audiences up to 3000 standing.
Custom screen sizes are available on request.
Screen location and installation method?
There are several methods for constructing LED screens. The most common include:
Temporary truss structures.
These structures are constructed with stage trussing, enabling the screen to be elevated to an optimal viewing height. They are ideal for long-term rentals (spanning multiple days or weeks) however, they are also used for single-day rentals.
When built correctly, they can provide a safe, flexible, and visually pleasing solution.

Mobile video trailers.
These screens are of a fixed size and are transported on specially designed mobile trailers. They offer a quick and straightforward solution, ideal for single-day rentals. One crew member can set up the screen in less than 40 minutes, helping to reduce costs and minimising time on-site.
Our mobile screen trailers are available in the following fixed sizes. 5m by 3m, 6m by 3.5m and 7m by 4m.
When inquiring about screen hire, ask your provider about the wind speed at which the screen and structure can be safely used. Request a copy of the structural report to ensure that the structure is properly designed and complies with health and safety standards. This document will also indicate if additional ballast is needed to secure the screen and structure against potential wind, which can be expensive if not included in the hire cost.

Power:
An important factor to consider is if power is accessible at your intended screen location. Outdoor screens, due to their high brightness, sometimes need dedicated power. You can use extension leads to connect to power outlets within 20 to 30m, or for single-day events, you might opt for a generator or one of Ad:Vantage Digital's battery solutions to enable screenings even in the most remote areas.
TV / Broadcast Feed
For a successful screening, a dependable feed is essential. It is advisable to use an existing permanent installation, such as a TV aerial or satellite dish at your venue, as this ensures a reliable and tested feed. If an existing feed is unavailable, a temporary feed can be set up with a mobile satellite dish or TV aerial, provided there is an suitable view of the sky or reception coverage in the area.
Streaming over the internet is another option, but it is not recommended. Streaming platforms like BBC iPlayer experience latency, which means there is a delay in the broadcast compared to other methods. While this might not seem like a major issue, being 30 seconds to a minute behind when a goal is scored or a penalty is missed can negatively impact your event. Additionally, streaming services depend on a good internet connection, which can be affected by various factors, including bandwidth limitations when large crowds gather in one place. Buffering and connection loss are limitations of streaming you do not want to encounter.
Don't Miss Out!
LED screens are highly sought after for major sporting events like the FIFA World Cup. As the tournament advances, the demand for these screens rises, frequently leading to a shortage in the later stages. Some suppliers have been known to raise prices for the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals as demand peaks.
Consider pre-booking multiple dates (games) to get a better rate or hiring a screen for the complete period of the tournament to secure your screen. Most LED screen suppliers provide discounts on multiple day/week hire as a large portion of the hire cost is in the preparation, installation, and transport costs.
Ad:Vantage Digital recommends not leaving your enquiry/booking too late. The best deals and offers can often be found when booked in advance, and this is the only way to guarantee your screen hire.
Ad:Vantage Digital offers a 'Game Guarantee' that ensures if you have rented a screen for a previous game, you will have first refusal for the next game. This is crucial to make sure your venue has a screen for every important game and is not left without one.
